What does a Dog really want?

Nothing compares to being able to run and play in an environment specifically designed for dogs. Not that it really takes much, open area to run and play, trees for shade and peeing, and a fence for safety.

Letterman LOVES to go to the Niceville Dog Park.

Hometown Dog Park

We are very fortunate to have a great dog park in our hometown, Niceville Dog park. Letterman gets so excited every time we start getting ready to go the park.

The park itself is on a large piece of land fenced in with a double gate to keep the dogs safe while entering and exiting the park. There is also a smaller fenced area for small dogs.

At the entrance they provide bags to pick up after you dog, and a box for balls. The area has a lot of shade trees that provides a beautiful setting for the dogs to enjoy. There are some open sandy areas for digging, and two water stations for drinking.

Great for Exercise for Everyone

Around the perimeter of the Niceville Dog Park there is a worn path from where people have walked so much.  This is great so we can walk laps and get some good exercise also.

You are able to see from one end of the park to the other, so your dog can keep an eye on you at all times. This is one of our favorite parts, as we walk on a leash every day and here at the park we can walk but we do not have to use the leash. Letterman can run ahead, take his time and drag behind, or go play with other dogs.

He is never gone long, checking in with me where ever I am on the path.

Time is UP

Letterman loves to run so if he can find a dog to chase or who will chase him he is happy. Thirty minutes is about our max time, by then he is exhausted and slowing down.  I still usually need to coax him into leaving, he hates to leave so much fun.  He would stay all day if he could.
